Muhammad Kamran Khan (father of Dr. Shagufta Perveen) born to Muhammad Ronaque Khan and Zait-un-Nisa on July 1, 1952, at Dinajpur, East Pakistan (separated on December 16, 1971, Bangladesh). His father worked in Pakistan Railway and due to work, he travelled across the country and mother being a housewife looked after kids and their education. During the riots of 1971, the whole family moved to Karachi, Pakistan. His mother and father, both wanted their kids to be highly qualified and achieve success in their lives. Muhammad Kamran Khan studied civil engineering and joined KDA at early ages. Later on, he moved to Kuwait for work but couldn’t satisfied with the environment, within six months decided to move back to Karachi, Pakistan and joined Pakistan Steel Mills Corporation. He retired from there as Deputy Manager of Civil Engineering in 2013. His elder brother joined Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), then moved to Kuwait and currently he is Canadian National while his younger sister retired from Accountant General of Pakistan-Sindh Division.
Muhammad Kamran Khan supported and motivated the whole family for higher education and all of his kids graduated from different institutes with flying colours and are now working at multiple locations in Pakistan and abroad.
